Book Review: Essence of Gluic

Title: Essence of Gluic
Author: Anthony G. Wedgeworth
Format Reviewed: print
Blurb:   War is pending as Bakalor, the Demon of the underworld, sends his minions out to ensure total destruction of all those who live above ground in the sun. His plan to resurface and rule the world is nearing the final stages as he leads land dwelling leaders into a war that will wipe each other off the face of the earth. Ergrauth, the demon of the Del'Unday, leads his army of Altered Creatures to the final battle in order to capture the world before Bakalor claims it for himself. Unknown to the underworld demon, Ergrauth has no plans to share in his bounty. Learning of the pending war plans, young Thorik Dain struggles to prevent the war from occurring in the first place, pulling him from his primary mission of saving his grandmother. Unaware that he is being used as a pawn by the powerful leaders and demons, Thorik's desire to save Gluic inadvertently puts his life, as well as the lives of everyone who is trying to help him, in danger

My Review:
This is book #3 in the Altered Creatures Series. All books do stand alone. Have I mentioned how much I've enjoyed the unique names in this series? Absolutely well thought out.

Thorik once again shows us his dedication to his friends and his people. While romance is possible, he knows he must focus on the matter at hand -- saving Gluic.

Bryus brought a unique added feature to the book with some really cool *specialties* he's capable of doing.

The action in this book does not fail us on this third installment. More adventure and twists and turns to keep us moving through anther fast paced book. Anthony Wedgeworth  has a brilliant mind for the world and character's he's created. Although I tend to not be the type that likes the absolutely perfect hero {Thorik}, in this case, it really does work for me. You're guided away from your current surroundings and finding yourself in Thorik's -- almost wishing you had your own proverbial perfect knight in shining armour to save everything.

I'm definitely hoping there's a book four soon to some. Pick up this collection. You'll find yourself reading it more than once.

Rating: 5/5
